Every month, Mahila Dakshata Samiti conducts a women’s group meeting through its Family Counseling Centre (FCC). These meetings are attended by 15 to 20 women from the community, including Anganwadi workers and other local women care representatives.
Meeting Structure:
Introduction: The session begins with an introduction to the FCC, its role, and the services it provides to the community.
Topics Covered: The counselor discusses various educational and awareness topics relevant to women’s empowerment and safety, including:
- Self-dependence
- Legal rights
- Domestic violence
- Maintenance and child custody
- Dowry and harassment
- Molestation
- Gender sensitization
- Health and hygiene
- Teenage relationships
- Health and hygiene
- Sexual harassment and abortion
- Child discrimination
- Extra-marital affairs
- Triple Talaq

Interactive Session:
The counselor addresses questions raised by the women and offers guidance and legal advice where needed.
Women from outside the state are also encouraged to contact the FCC counselor telephonically for help.
Conclusion:
The meeting concludes with the distribution of informative pamphlets and a note of thanks to all the women present.
